CVAT pricing in 2026 with plan limits and what a team really pays

CVAT pricing in October 2026 has four paths. CVAT Online is free for one small workspace, Solo costs 33 USD a month (23 USD billed yearly), Team costs 33 USD per user a month (23 USD billed yearly), and self hosted Enterprise support is quoted by sales. The self hosted Community edition has no license fee, but you pay in server and engineer time. A team of 8 labelers on CVAT Online Team pays 264 USD a month, or 184 USD a month billed yearly. Figures come from cvat.ai as read on 2026-10-26.

If you label only images and want one fixed number, compare it with a flat priced CVAT alternative for image annotation before you commit.

Role based access control, audit logs through the API and SSO are Team features, and SSO is limited to annual billing. Solo has no team collaboration, so a second labeler means moving to Team. Check cvat.ai/pricing/cloud for the current limits, since CVAT states they can change with notice.

What a CVAT Online team pays per month

The bill is seats times the per seat rate, with a 2 seat minimum on the selector.

TeamMonthly billingYearly billing, per monthYearly total
2 labelers66 USD46 USD552 USD
5 labelers165 USD115 USD1,380 USD
8 labelers264 USD184 USD2,208 USD

Seasonal teams feel this most. Adding four labelers for a harvest project adds 132 USD a month on monthly billing, and they cannot be dropped for free on a yearly plan.

The real cost of self hosted CVAT

Community edition costs nothing in license fees. A working install still needs a server with enough RAM and disk for your images, a GPU node if you want automatic annotation with your own models, backups, upgrades and someone who answers when the disk fills. Many teams do this fine, and if you also label video or 3D data, CVAT is hard to beat. When the server belongs to whoever has time, a day of lost labeling costs more than a hosted plan. Uptime monitoring such as a 30 second ping on your server and its ports at least tells you before the labelers do.

Enterprise support is sold in Basic and Premium tiers. Both include email support with a 24 hour SLA, Premium adds a dedicated support engineer, live chat, up to 3 private instances and up to 100 hours of professional services a year. Prices are not published, and white labeling is a paid add on.

Is CVAT worth the price for your team

CVAT earns its price when you need video interpolation, 3D point clouds or full control of where data lives. The cost shows up differently for image only work. On CVAT Online it follows headcount, and on self hosted it follows engineer time.

A flat plan is easier to forecast. ImageLabeling includes 10 seats, 3,500 AI pre-labeled images and 100,000 stored images on the Team plan at 149 USD a month, or 74 USD billed yearly. The 15 labeler row above, 495 USD a month on CVAT Online, fits the Business plan at 499 USD a month with 30 seats, 12,000 AI pre-labeled images and one million stored images. Teams that want to see pre-labels on their own data can try the AI data labeling flow first.
